The legendary MacGregor Room, where visitors through the years have experienced many haunted occurrences.
And of course, Room 217, the extravagant, haunted room that inspired the Master of Horror Stephen King to pen his best-selling novel, The Shining.

Having been a huge fan of Stephen King's book and movie, The Shining, I was so excited to buy this book to learn more about the history of the hotel and its haunted hallways. What a treasure trove of information awaited me! It became quite apparent that Ms. Pittman did extensive research. She takes the reader back in time - besides feeling like you are on the ghost tour with her. I couldn't put it down! There will always be skeptics regarding the paranormal, but this book should quell many of them. It is the perfect book to curl up with on a rainy night... just be sure to leave the lights on after!
