Jefferson Lions Club Cell Phone Recycling Program

Not only is there a security/privacy issue, since all of your billing information is associated with that phone, but also used cell phones can create an environmental problem in our local landfills.

The Jefferson Lions Club supports the Hopeline program, sponsored by Verizon Wireless. When you send your used cell phone to Hopeline, they will remove any of your personalization on the instrument, and will program it for distribution to persons in domestic violence situations. By donating your phone, not only will you assure your own security and privacy from the information contained in the phone, but you will also be helping a potential victim in a domestic violence situation.
